Trenance Gardens

Trenance Gardens are about 20 minutes walk from Crest Court and we often go via Trenance to The Gannel with Mr Pringle. If 20 minutes with small children sounds too far then the Land Train is a great alternative. Once there you can spend a full day with the various attractions which are available

Operating a circular route taking in Trenance Gardens, the Zoo, Narrowcliff, Town Centre, and Mount Wise this is a great way to see the town and get your bearings. Tickets are bought on the train and are all day or part journey. The nearest stop to the apartment is just out of the back gate turn left  past Sprout and turn left its just by the Church (20 Yards). Zoo at Trenance Gardens
Outdoor activities within walking distance

From Lions, lemurs and lynx to meerkats ,marmosets and monkeys , you are never too far away from a little animal magic at Newquay Zoo.

For those of you of a certain age i am sure you can understand why those are the Zoo`s words not mine  John Morris

Apart from the animals there are plenty of other things to see and do including The Tropical House, The Oriental Garden, Gems Of The Jungle, The Secret Garden and Outdoor Play Areas.

If all that has left you feeling hungry  head to Cafe Lemur or, if you fancy a take away, The Lazy Lion Grill could be for you. Ice Cream? Meerkat Munchies is where you need to be.

The Zoo is fun but it has a serious side. The wild planet trust is involved in many different aspects of conservation from marine  plastics to sustainable palm oil via carbon footprint reduction and many other vitally important ecological issues .

Support the Zoo and you are helping support the planet.

Newquay Cafes
Cafe at Trenance Gardens

Lakeside is one of our favourite cafes it`s where we stop of for a coffee and a cake before  walking down the Gannel to Crantock. As it overlooks the boating lake at Trenance gardens you can indulge in that great British pastime of feeding the ducks after your lunch or coffee and cakes as they sell bags of healthy food for them.

Dog friendly during the day with doggy treats available including their own home made dog ice-cream so that no member of the family is left out. This cafe has a great reputation and it is best to book at busy times.

In the summer they have outside seating and an ice cream parlour in the winter log fires . If you have a special occasion let them know and they will decorate your table for you.

At night time this great cafe turns into an excellent restaurant. Look out for the special steak night , pie night  and fish and chips night if you like a bargain
